Copyright and DMCA Policy
We respect intellectual property and expect our users to do the same.
We don’t host your files
Documents you open with EditMyDocument.com are processed on your device and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers, so we have no user files to remove. Copyright concerns about our own pages, guides, images or code are handled below.
Passwords and author restrictions
EditMyDocument.com never cracks, guesses or bypasses PDF passwords. To open a protected file you need its password. If a PDF’s author turned off printing, copying or changes, the editor asks for the file’s permissions password before it will edit, convert or save it, and without that password the restrictions stay in place. We designed it this way to respect the technical protections that copyright owners use (17 U.S.C. § 1201).
